Isobel Higley graduated from Falmouth University in 2016 with BA(hons) Contemporary Craft. Since graduating, her work has been showcased at several exhibitions including Create to Commemorate- Royal Cornwall Museum, The Japanese House- Barbican Centre and The Pearl Collective- Edinburgh, just to name a few.
Through her sculptures Isobel intends to evoke a sense of positivity within her surroundings. Higley’s distinctive illustrative style, combined with a pleasant fusion of humour and fantasy, creates work with a strong narrative. Embodying inviting and tactile forms, Higley actively encourages her audience to interact both her sculptures and her domestic work. As a ceramic artist Higley uses sustainable processes in her practice wherever possible to reduce negative impact on the environment.
